OUR DOCTORS

Dr Mathew Leonardi is an advanced gynecologic surgeon and sonologist (ultrasound specialist) at McMaster University Medical Centre in Hamilton, Canada. He has been awarded his PhD from the University of Sydney which is focused on the utility of ultrasound in the diagnosis and surgical management of endometriosis. He is an honorary adjunct lecturer at the University of Adelaide.

He has published over 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles, several textbook chapters, and presented at several international on endometriosis and gynecological ultrasound. He has received numerous awards for his conference presentations on endometriosis. Now, Dr. Leonardi is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in gynecological surgery and ultrasound. He is an avid researcher, actively contributing academically to the advancement of gynecological health.

Dr. Leonardi is on the World Endometriosis Society Early Career Board and a founding member of the Next Generation Committee at the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is currently contributing to the Clinical Practice Guidelines on Endometriosis for the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada. He is an Associate Editor for Reproduction & Fertility and on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Canada. He is part of an international research group named Imagendo, which won the most prestigious science award in Australia, the 2023 ANSTO Eureka Prize for Innovative Use of Technology

Dr. Clara Sacchini is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist. She got a Doctoral Degree and a Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Parma, Italy and a Fetal Medicine Foundation Diploma in in Fetal Medicine at the King’s College, London, UK (https://fetalmedicine.org/map/certified/8). Prior to coming to Canada, she practiced fetal-maternal medicine in Reggio Emilia and Parma for over 15 years, and she acted as a trainer and examiner for the Fetal Medicine Foundation, Italian Branch.

Dr. Clara Sacchini now focuses exclusively on Obstetrical Ultrasound and Prenatal Diagnosis.

Dr. JAYESH TIGDI is an advanced gynecologic surgeon and gynecologic sonologist. His primary clinical practice is at McMaster University Medical Centre in Hamilton, Canada. He achieved an MBA from McMaster University while concurrently completing his fellowship in Advanced and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and Gynecologic Ultrasound. His primary clinical interests include gynecologic pathology in pregnancy (ovarian cysts, fibroids and placenta accreta spetrum disorders) as well as complex gynecologic pathology, such as chronic pelvic pain, pelvic floor myalgia and sensitivities, and endometriosis. With his masters degree, he aims to improve patient-focused care through healthcare operations efficiencies and systems management.
